It’s May tomorrow.
How did that happen?
My 13 year old will be 14 in 3 and 1/2 months…really how did that happen?! (I know this because she reminded me this morning and she snuck in a ‘can’t I drive when I’m 15?’.)
Soccer season is in full swing around these parts, it’s one of my favorite things. We have been watching a whole lot of it in freezing cold and rain, but I still love watching my girls play. What is it about watching our kids play sports?? It’s a strange thing. If you are thinking that it is somehow tied to DNA remember who you are talking to. #adoptivemamabear
So how was your week? Was it everything you wanted it to be and more? Yeah, me neither. BUT it’s Sunday and that means a whole new week ahead full of promise.
Also, there is a Find Your Wild Heart group on FB now. FB asked me if I wanted to start a group and I said sure, so voila, there is a group!
This upcoming week is going to be FILLED to the brim with yard work. The man actually took a full week off of work so we could get the farm whipped into shape for summer. I hope we can accomplish it all in a week. It’s in bad shape my friends. BAD SHAPE. The weeds have invaded at an alarming pace this year. Don’t judge.
It would be great if it could somehow just look like this at the end of the week.HA!
When we bought our property it was just a giant pasture with an old ugly house plopped on it. There were few plants worth saving BUT we did get a row of lilacs…my favorite. This time of year I can smell them all over the yard. If you weren’t lucky to buy a yucky house with a beautiful row of lilacs, you can get this yummy candle and pretend you’re sitting by mine! I buy all of my candles at Sun River Gardens, if you find yourself in Orem, Utah, I would highly recommend stopping by. It is one of my happiest of happy places. **the honeysuckle candle is equally as yummy and it’s available here.**
I have started this online course from Kelly Rae Roberts and am loving it so far. It combines some soul work with mixed media…you know that makes my heart happy. Mixed media is my favorite kind of art to create because it is forgiving and it doesn’t have to be perfect, that is just what this girl needs. No perfection required. (because if it isn’t perfect I get frustrated and won’t do it!!)
Have your kids been going crazy with the slime making thing?! We made this recipe and it is awe.some!!
Want some inspiration? need some inspiration? craving some inspiration?!! Find this quick. It’ll knock your socks off!!
Speaking of inspiration…this girl’s Instagram…WOW.
1o outdoor entertaining spaces to aspire to.
Well send some good luck my way that the farm gets whipped into shape this week and that I am walking and alive by the end of it. I’m not 25 anymore and yard work kicks my trash!!
Have a FANTASTIC week!!
p.s. There is only one private room with a private bath left for Christmas in the Mountains…just saying. 😉
