It’s a beautiful Saturday morning and I am just getting ready for a class on the farm but wanted to share some DELICIOUSNESS with you that could help your weekend out. 😉
I have cooked this week, more than usual. These three recipes have been tried, tested, and liked by all of my people including my youngest who doesn’t eat much of anything but chocolate.
Oh yeah. This stuff was the bomb. I put it in the crockpot with some country style pork ribs and it was sooo good!! We ate it for two days and it was better the second!
We cooked this on our smoker but I’ll bet it’d be good no matter what. The bacon on the smoker though.oh.my.gosh.
It was like when your mom baked a pie and you snuck off the crust around the edge…yeah that was me.
Last, but not least, is the mother of all canned cream soupy mom food goodness in a crockpot.
Once upon a time, a long long time ago I used to hang out in a store called Scrooge & Marley’s. My neighbor across the street worked there and I would go visit and take sodas. Another lady was always there too and we would just sort of meet up. That lady made this little concoction on Halloween for her cute boys, who are now old and married. It always makes me a little home sick for those two and those days. Now my sweet neighbor is in heaven and I don’t ever get to see the other friend so I just make this sometimes because I miss them and it’s good comfort food!!
Shawnee’s Cowboy Potatoes
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 block cream cheese
1/2 a cube of butter
another 1/2 cube of butter
1 onion chopped
3 cloves garlic minced
1 lb of hamburger browned
Cook the onions in 1/2 cube of butter till they are soft, add garlic and cook for another minute or two. Brown your hamburger, season it with salt and pepper while cooking. Add the onions & garlic, hamburger and everything else but the cream cheese in the slow cooker. Let it all simmer together for a few hours and melt the cream cheese in it right before serving. Serve over baked potatoes.
Not healthy even a little bit but so good. I’m pretty sure I added some stuff that made it even more not healthy.
