For awhile now I have had the thought in my head that I would really like to get off of Facebook. I love this website and I don’t spend any time here. I love to write. It is cathartic for me and I feel like I can be so much more authentic here, with you all, typing out my ramblings. I love Instagram. It’s happy and inspiring and good. I would like to concentrate more of my time here and there.
Being a small business owner that is a really scary thought, quitting FB. So much interaction with my people is on Facebook. But here’s the thing with me and FB. I can’t stay off of it and guess what? It takes away from my happiness in life. I love keeping in touch with friends near and far, seeing all of my family posting pictures and snippets of their lives makes me happy. But there is all the other stuff that makes me mad and sad and leaves me feeling a little hopeless. I get sucked right in. AND I CAN’T STAY OFF OF IT! I have no self control. 😉
I was talking to a beautiful soul sister of mine who has cancer. We are both building businesses of the same sort. She announced the other day that she is taking the rest of the year off and deactivating her FB! She is concentrating on her body fighting cancer. Surrounding herself with goodness of all sorts. Talking to her the other day made me feel ok about doing the same. I have known for a long time that it would be best for the whole dang family if I took some time off. I am having back surgery next Wednesday and need to focus on healing and getting this body and soul of mine healthy. Surrounding myself with all the important things sounds like a good thing.
So I am taking a break from FB, at least till the end of the year. I would love to keep in touch with you here and on our Instagram account. You can follow the blog itself and it will let you know when there is a new post, the sign up for that is at the bottom of this post. If you need to get in touch you can always leave a comment or send me a message through Insta.
Thank you so much for all of your love and support, it means the world to me!
There is still space for you in the Art Cabin for our January, 2019 Soul Restoration Workshop. I am so excited to be teaching it on the farm for the first time and would love to have you join me.
