I wanted something simple to gift for Christmas this year. Simple, beautiful, and yummy smelling is always good.
I have been pinning simple gift ideas for awhile and there were a couple for stove top Christmas Potpourri. I combined a couple of them to make it my own and it turned out so pretty. I am a firm believer in simple gifts.
You may already be done with all your gifts or this may come just in time to be a great idea for you to gift as well. Either way you can always make a little for yourself…it smells divine and it’s the perfect way to add a little hygge to your weekend!!
Supplies to make Christmas Potpourri:
I am not affiliated with any of these businesses. I am not receiving any benefit, just putting them together for you so you can order them in your jammies too!
Dry your sliced oranges. We have a food dehydrater so I used that on the fruit/veggies setting. It took overnight. You can also dry them in the oven set on 200.
Put 1/2 tsp of nutmeg and allspice in the bottom of the jar.
Add 1 Tbsp of cloves.
Place 4 slices of dried orange in the jar.
Add 3-4 whole pieces of cinnamon sticks.
Top off with about a cup of fresh cranberries.
Put jar lid on jar, cut a piece of brown paper 6-1/4″ on top, screw bottle ring on tight over paper.
Place glue dot on top of jar in the middle; place one of your cut tags on top, centering it.
Glue dot the sides under tag to keep it down.
Wrap bakers twine around the lid a couple of times and tie it off. You could really use any kind of small ribbon you wanted to.
Gift them to the lucky people in your life. They will love it and it will add some hygge to their weekend too!
Hope you are enjoying this beautiful season with the ones you love.
There are still 4 open spots for our Soul Restoration workshop in January. What a perfect gift for someone special in your life…that can include yourself you know…*wink and a smile*
