I wanted to give you a few ways to add some hygge into your life this weekend.
Linger over a yummy homemade breakfast. Take time to talk, savor the food, enjoy each other’s company. Make it something more than just breakfast. It can also be a something special to do for yourself, take a little extra time to make something yummy and healthy and cozy up with it. I have collected some delicious breakfast recipes right HERE.

Candles. They can bring something warm and cozy to a room like nothing else. Splurge a little and buy your favorite candle and then burn it all weekend. Pick the scent that makes you feel homey and cozy and all the good things. THIS is one of my favorites and the jar is beautiful too.

Wrap yourself in your coziest blankets, cuddle up with your favorite couch partner, turn off all electronics and spend a couple of hours watching a feel good movie. Popcorn and hot cocoa are never a bad thing…just sayin. These are a few of my go to movies that always leave me feeling something good…Dan in Real Life, You’ve Got Mail, Princess Bride…I’m sure you have lots of your own!
I know many of us are still deep in winter and this picture seems a little premature but it isn’t! This is the perfect time to peruse the seed catalogs, plan out your garden, order your bare root roses and plant peas. Roses can be pruned and this is a perfect time to get your yard cleaned up and ready for all the growing things. If you don’t have a garden or a plot of land bringing a little green into your life is so good for you. Go to your nearest nursery or even big box store and you can find beautiful plants or herbs that you can grow indoors. Ask questions and find the perfect little plant just right for you! Herbs are awesome because you can use them to make yummy food too.

Wherever it is that you call home, big city apartment, cabin in the woods, house in the suburbs…you can bring hygge into it. Whether it is filled with people, pets, or you live alone, you deserve to feel the warmth of home. Please take some time this weekend to relax and feel good. Whatever that looks like to you.
